► after a couple of months that seemed to never end, i finally got an internet connection again. i logged onto deviantart straight away and on the upper toolbar there was this frightening number next to my deviantwatch tab: 7012! i haven't got the time to check them, just browsed rapidly ( some very interesting photos – you've been busy bees ) but i'll try to sort it out this weekend ( is one weekend enough? - not sure... ). thanks for all the comments and the s, i missed you and missed the long weekend browsing nights... i'm so glad i'm back. lots of things happened since my last entry: i had a great christmas holiday back in romania, with my girlfriend and my family and my friends . of course, i had to have some adventures on the way back to england ( i took the coach 'cause it was cheaper ) - i was supposed to change to a different coach service in cologne, but we got delayed because of a traffic jam a few km away from the hungarian border, then we had a flat tyre in austria so we got in cologne 4 hours after the coach i was supposed to switch to had left. so i had to spend the night at a hotel, courtesy to the coach company and i took the next coach. it wasn't that bad, i got to visit the cathedral and wander around the city with no map, just with the rhine and the cathedral as bench-marks. i took some pictures too, not that many ( i only had a 2gb card on me - and i always shoot raw ) and i haven't developed them yet. i liked cologne, i hope next time i go there i stay more than a day and definitely not because i missed a link.

► then, shortly after i got back to england i moved north in a village close to stoke-on-trent (south of liverpool and quite close to wales). so far i like it here, it's a sleepy village with brick houses, farms and fields, not that many things to photograph, though - so far that's the only downside.

► i bought myselfs a dell desktop with a huge 20 inch lcd , working very smooth so far (initially my intention was to buy a laptop, however is better to have a fast machine if you're into photo editing).

► i finally decided that i'm going to buy myself a dslr and also that it's going to be a canon 40d with the 100mm f2.8 macro usm and the 24-70 f2.8 l usm lenses. by the beginning of june i'll have the body and the macro lens ( just in time for the cashback ). not sure i'm ready for a dslr yet, but there's only one way of finding out .
